The Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (1907/2006/EC (REACH)) Regulation is a European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use and entered into force on 1st June 2007. For potentially hazardous substances to be in the scope of REACH, they must first be identified as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
